What the package needs to achieve
A box for one bottle requires a different structure from a kit containing glasses, tonic or cocktail accessories. We define the contents, transport conditions, opening experience and production quantity before developing the graphics. Internal supports and dividers separate fragile components and keep them from moving. A window can reveal the bottle without weakening the structure. The box should also be efficient to assemble and store.
Structures and printing options
Micro-corrugated board offers strength and can combine a handle, window and locking tabs in one structure. Screen printing in one or two colors on kraft board works well for a direct graphic approach and smaller runs. When a brand needs photographs, gradients or precise full-color artwork, offset printing on paperboard can be mounted on micro-corrugated board for added rigidity. A folding paperboard sleeve is another option for a single bottle and can include a window, internal locks or an automatic bottom.
For gift kits, custom-fitted inserts hold the bottle, glassware and other items in place. We develop these from the actual dimensions of the products to improve protection, the unboxing experience and assembly.
Prototype before the production run
A prototype in the final material, or a close substitute, helps identify issues with stiffness, fit and assembly before production tooling. Plan seasonal editions and corporate gifts early enough to test the structure, approve printing and reserve production capacity.
