Technical expertise for real-world manufacturing
Custom industrial product manufacturing requires an understanding of materials, processes and project constraints. We design each component with production in mind, from material selection to final assembly.
We select processes and suppliers around the product. For plastic components, we apply design for injection molding principles. In glass, we account for blowing and pressing constraints. For folding boxes, we consult FEFCO standards. For wood products, we choose materials and joints for the intended use.
We act as a technical bridge between the idea, the design and the manufacturer. We assess feasibility, prepare the necessary specifications and support production according to the project’s scope.
Custom industrial product manufacturing processes
Every material and process calls for different technical choices. A1Pack designs products and coordinates their manufacture with these factors in mind from the outset.
Plastic injection molding
Design and development of plastic parts, products and packaging.
- Products: Technical components, containers, rigid packaging and promotional products.
- Processes: Conventional and two-component injection molding, overmolding and inserts, depending on the application.
- Materials: PP, ABS, PET, PVC, PS, TPE and bioplastics as required.
- A1Pack technical contribution: Design for manufacturing: draft angles, wall thickness, ribs and tolerances defined with the part and supplier in mind. We select materials based on function, volume and cost.
Glass product manufacturing
Development of glass containers, products and components.
- Products: Containers for food, beverages, cosmetics and fragrance, as well as promotional and decorative objects.
- Processes: Automatic or semi-automatic blowing and pressing; additional treatments are defined according to the product and its intended use.
- Materials: Soda-lime, borosilicate and opal glass, subject to the application and production availability.
- A1Pack technical contribution: Design accounting for wall thickness, radii, tolerances and process constraints. We assess closures, decoration and minimum orders with manufacturing partners.
Thermoforming
Thermoformed product and packaging design tailored to material, geometry and production volume.
- Products: Blister packs, displays, clamshell packaging, lids, trays and semi-structural components.
- Processes: Vacuum forming, pressure forming and skin packaging.
- Materials: PET, PVC, PS, PP, APET and alternatives such as PLA when suitable for the process and application.
- A1Pack technical contribution: We assess the draw ratio, release angles and material distribution, with the aim of reducing sheet waste.
Cardboard and paperboard boxes
Structural, graphic and production design for printed packaging.
- Products: Folding boxes, displays, promotional and premium packaging, and window boxes.
- Processes: Offset, digital and flexographic printing; die cutting; coatings, lamination and foil stamping as required.
- Materials: Paperboard, microflute and corrugated board, and solid board; weight and grade are chosen for the load and structure.
- A1Pack technical contribution: We develop interlocking features and die lines based on the material, quantity and assembly method. We refer to FEFCO standards when applicable.
Wooden products and packaging
Design and production of wooden products, packaging and furniture with manufacturing in mind.
- Products: Premium boxes, limited editions, displays, retail furniture and promotional objects.
- Processes: CNC routing, laser cutting, assembly, and finishes such as varnish, oil or paint.
- Materials: MDF, plywood, pine, eucalyptus and other woods according to the application.
- A1Pack technical contribution: We choose materials and joints based on strength, moisture exposure and cost. We plan cutting layouts to use sheet materials efficiently and simplify assembly.

Every decision about form, material and dimensions considers how the product will be manufactured, assembled and used. This makes development more feasible from the outset.
